Tourism Workshop for international DMCs & hotels to engage with Top German, Austrian and Eastern European Agents

Supported by Failte Ireland, Intercontinental Dublin (formerly Four Seasons Hotel Dublin), STR Destination Handling, Lufthansa

60 guests including representatives from Top German, Austrian & Eastern European Agents, DMCs, Hotels, Convention Bureaux, Airline.

An event hosting MICE agents as well as international DMCs and hotels, definitely our toughest crowd yet. A combined project with STR Destination Handling and Event Partners Ireland supported by Failte Ireland, Four Seasons Hotel Dublin and Lufthansa.

Here is just how we impressed our industry peers…

A buffet lunch at Intercontinental Dublin (formerly Four Seasons Hotel Dublin) welcomes our guests to Ireland and provides the first networking opportunity of the programme. A fun afternoon of Baileys Tasting and Irish dancing in the stunning Thomas Prior Hall kick-started the fun for the weekend! A networking dinner at the infamous Guinness Storehouse with a flavour of how Irish dancing is truly performed was the perfect ‘Welcome to Ireland’ for all guests.

Let the work begin, morning appointments scheduled at Intercontinental Dublin (formerly Four Seasons) for agents, DMCs and hotels to start the day. Meanwhile half of the agents enjoyed a food trail of Dublin’s finest food shops and 5 star hotels, including the Fitzwilliam, Merrion and Shelbourne Hotels. Craft beers and the aroma of a tasty BBQ greeted guests as they arrived to the rooftop bar at The Marker Hotel for lunch. A quick switch around and a rewarding trail around the city for those who worked hard all morning, while those who had the morning off took their seats at the Intercontinental Dublin (formerly Four Seasons) for an afternoon of appointments and more networking.

A gala dinner at the spectacular venue Royal Hospital Kilmainham provided even more surprises for our guests. A string quartet playing Irish hits from artists such as Thin Lizzy and The Cranberries during dinner followed by a surprise in the Baroque Chapel, this crowd rocked out to a U2 tribute band and then partied on in Dublin City until the wee hours.

The Powerscourt Discovery Challenge definitely cleared out the cobwebs at Powerscourt Hotel Resort Spa the following morning. A beautiful sunny day provided the perfect weather and the whole group really got involved in the competitive element of this activity! A sumptuous lunch in the ballroom at Powerscourt House provided the perfect end to a work hard, play hard weekend!

Such was the success of this event we received countless testimonials from agents, DMCs and hotels alike. Far too many to include in this space so here is just a little taster:

The event in Dublin was really perfectly organized and it was a big win for me as well to be part of this. Thanks for many great experiences and happy buyers.”

“A big big THANK YOU to all of you who made this incredible weekend happen and that I had the chance to be a part of it. The organization was brilliant, the program exciting and loads of fun and your around the clock care and attention to detail was amazing. The workshop was a really great way to meet so many partners from around the globe and get also a lot of useful new details and info. Also a special thanks to Tanja who always kept the „craic“ going, and to all the venues who hosted and pampered us throughout. I really enjoyed discovering enchanting Dublin a lot more in detail and there were so many highlights that I find it impossible to name favorites.”
